Getting Started With No Outlay

by Sean Rasmussen on September 18, 2009

This is the next video in a series of videos I recently produced in Sydney’s Darling Harbour with Alexi Neocleous. On this video you’ll discover the first trick to start your internet business without a financial outlay… a little known service you can get hosting and website design for FREE (no hidden costs and no tricks involved)… why you need to make a minimum of 40% commission on the products you sell, and more…

The video is currently offline, it'll be back shortly.

After you watch the video please leave me a comment below and give me feedback.

See you back here soon with more affiliate marketing lessons.

Sorry

Your just got giving me any info here, In my first post I said I thought it was a waste of time

I watched the vid- your not giving any info, 40% is it the text above the video – what else does the video give

It’s always- In the next video I’ll do this and then you come to the next video and it say In the next video I’ll do this

This kind of sales bugs the hell out o me- and whilst your not selling anything- your aim I assume from the video is to create credibility

why not just have a page with links to the free web info, simple without all this video

Or at the end of the video are you going to give free stuff away- and if you want more stuff you’ll have to buy it.

from what I gather from the video your targeting people with no money

you have one more chance, if the next video is as bad as these two I have seen, then we are done

Hi David
I’ll give you credit for the earlybird prize of getting in first. I could just give all the content in one video that goes for 1 hour, but I haven’t. If you have a sense of humor, I’d like to share the resource link that has all the answers here: http://www.google.com ;)
Seriously, I do get to the point but nobody is forcing anyone to watch these video’s. I’m here to help those who are prepared to help themselves. Let the results do the talking and I’ll happily take the grief if there is grief due.
Sean :)

very interesting and very good it will assit so many people, the product is obvioulsy key and how you let people know as well but overall very interesting

Thanks Mark
The way I put some of the points across in this video sounds like a product, but it is not. The system I talk about is 100% Free. It will assist all those who use it properly.

Reply

David Welzman September 18, 2009 at 5:30 pm

when are you going to get to the specific product?

There is a restaurant up the road from where I live, Simply the most amazing steaks- Juicy and they melt in your mouth , not on your fork, The problem is you have to cut through all the fat to get to the meat of it.

I don’t visit the restaurant anymore, too much fat and not much meat

when it comes to selling something- anything or even if your giving stuff away for free get to the point, forget the fluff and the window dressing, in this day and age- you gotta get the info out there you gotta get to the point

from the video’s I have the following info

You have the secet to success, 40% commissions or don’t sell it, and you gotta have the drive- OK great, now get to what it is.

If I may ask a question, this is very familiar to what Joel Bauer in his Boot Camp are you a student of Joel’s?

Reply

Sean Rasmussen September 18, 2009 at 5:57 pm

Hello David :)

No offense to Joel Bauer, but who is he? Never heard of him. Is he good?
The restaurants you frequent, do you walk in and get a seat, place an order and get to the meat in 10 minutes or less? Unless the steak is still ‘Moo-ing’, that should not be the case.

So far, I am 10-12 minutes into the video. I’ll get to the meat. I’m making this available for free. If I complained about my steak before I got it at a restaurant, and it was free, I’d probably get kicked out – by the other customers :D

I’ll Google Joel now and see who he is.

David,

Relax.

Have you heard the saying “good things come to those who wait’?

In this case we all want to move forward as much as possible, as quickly as possible – I know I do. However, Sean is obviously trying to make a point here and give everybody equal chance to understand each section rather than just putting out everything at once which may over-cast the important messages.

Hi Sean

I would agree with David however I am willing to wait to get the info to see if it is any different than the other garbage out there. I have wasted that much money so far I really need a low cost system.
I have just started reading the leaked report. Good stuff so far.

Look forward to the next video

Hi, Sean,

I tried pushing play and pause but it kept buffering. I guess I will just skip the videos since I already went to a 2-day seminar with you geeks in Sydney.

Just another issue, I ticked the box before notify me of following up comments via e-mail for the 1st video, thinking I would be notified of your reply only but how wrong I was. How can I cancel the notification so that my inbox is not full of comments I never get around to read?

I already tried affiliate and clickbank here and there and I think I should sit down to read your YoTa leaked version. Now I start to regret I am now stuck in the country with slow Internet and my new iMac not compatible with many PC programmes.

Thank you for your guidance and inspiration and I should stop complaining about the bumpy road and start acting like the username of my email.

Great advice with that… higher ticket items with higher commissions are best to sell as it takes the same amount of time to set things up once you have a target market. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with David. Why not just give the info you promised in the introduction. Many people watching this video will have seen so much of the info already if they have been around IM circles for a while. There is so much BS out there that I have unsubscribed from many a ‘guru’s’ list. I trust you will have the info in the next video or I will be out of here too. Not meaning to be rude here but like many people in the 21st century, I don’t have precious time to waste listening to idle chit chat.

Hi Grant
Your attitude will give you a long and happy life ;)
In life, some people like to take the grief in advance just in case it arrives. That way we are guaranteed to cop a flogging every time instead of only the times it goes wrong.
A positive attitude is healthy and good for the soul too.
Thanks for your support.

I agree with Grant, just be a bit of patient and not to ‘close the door’ too soon as we may miss out a good opportunity. I met Sean at a free internet seminar before, I trust his integrity and professionalism and believe that he’ll give us valuable content.
Look forward to engaging in your teaching Sean, thank you in advance :-)

Hi Sean,
Thank you, I am willing to be patient to many sites give you a lot of information and you don’t get the gist at all.
Also I am an ‘oldie country gal’ and we learned best by repetition.
After 50 years I can still spit out an answer all because we learned by repetition.
I personally believe learn too fast forget too fast – and I prefer the Australian way to the superspeed USA way, :}, maybe my brain doesn’t work as well in overdrive it likes to go slow until it understands :}
Thanks for sharing

Hi Janina
The superspeed is mostly hype in my opinion. Repetition is also my way. Slow means long. Fast means short. I think I prefer a “Slow” life ;)

I am a busy man, and I teach people how to sell on the trade show floor

Core message I teach- get to the point, stop waisting time- If you want have the lovely interview section on the biography of your life- have a seperate video for that for your fans but for the info you want to present- cut to the chase,

In todays communication- reduce, streamline, solidy crystalize the communication process

if you can reduce a 100 word paragraph down to the minimum of words like say 20 this is good, not just in selling, but in communication

It is opportunity cost- by watching your video- what is it costing me in time- that I could be spending elsewhere- I guess I am going to figure that out- but I must say no one likes getting negative reviews- I am not giving your advice a negative review- just the process in which you give it.

Reply

Sean Rasmussen September 19, 2009 at 11:41 pm

Thank you for the advice David.
I have already filmed the interview but will still proceed sharing it for the people that will appreciate it. I understand that I cannot please everyone and certainly will not do that. I also do not make any assumptions that other people must be like me, just as I’m sure you do not pass judgement on others either.
But thank you for your time anyway, David. I do not want to waste your time here and have a feeling that you won’t appreciate what I am giving you anyway if your mind is made up already. My website will let you leave by clicking the cross in the top right hand corner, without any pop-ups. ;)

Alan Jones September 20, 2009 at 2:08 am

Hi Sean,
Read Davids posts with interest. I too am a busy man but the fact we are here should tell everyone we are both not satisfied with things as they are at present.
We are both looking for a better reward for our time.
Having sold at trade shows too I realise that you only have a few seconds to create that first impression. I have created a first impression of both you and must say that yours is a better impression. So perhaps David is not as good at creating first impressions as he thinks he is!
The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, but if that step in in the wrong direction you will never reach “the promised land”.
I think I have started in the right direction by watching your videos and while waiting for the next video reading the YOTA leaked edition and there seems plenty of good content there, so carry on improving your first impression.
I am happy that slow and steady won the race between the tortoise and hare! I also have learned that the dog that chases two rabbits rarely catches either!

Hi Alan

I appreciate your feedback too. Thanks. Yes, first impressions are important. I have however discovered something very important in relationships (business, personal, friendships, etc). The faster a relationship is bound or formed, the weaker it can be at the seems.

I am happy to help people with patience. If I have to win people’s trust fast, then I could do that with smoke and mirrors, such as NLP. It is dirty (if done wrong) and yet many presenters use it to improve fast impressions. They also get a lot of complaints for poor after sales service because their main focus is on the first impression (hence, they are focuses on the sale).

This is not about making a quick buck and many other business people judge me from a ‘buck making’ perspective. “You gotta make every post a winner”. I don’t agree with that. You got to make every effort and intent “genuine and honest”. The people will follow the ones they trust. I don’t want to win people’s trust on hope. I win people’s trust on proof and results.

Thank you for your observations. I truly appreciate it :)

The only thing I find annoying is the sound of the water in the background or if there is a lot of wind when you are doing these Vidio’s it is very hard to hear what you are saying through the noise, otherwise I am managing to learn something, only early stages yet but.

Hi Sean,

I am not sure what mike you used when doing this video but I am sure you could have reduced that annoying background noise if you used an external mike on your camera.

You seem like the sort of guy who accepts constructive feedback so I hope you will take it as that not as criticism.

Hi David
Thanks for your input. There is an external mike on the table in front of the laptop. The fountain in the background is louder in reality. The camera is 3 metres away so the camera wouldn’t pick up our conversation without an external mike. ;)

Thanks for reminding me about the 40% commission rule. I may need to make some adjustments in my choice of product to suite this criteria. It is important to have the foundation rules down pat for trouble free selling down the line.
