Hi Jazz,

Thanks for that tip on changing the font on the computer. I didn’t know that this is a way to change the font on the WordPress Theme. I’ll try this tip for the next article I write.

This provides the essential list for how to write good content and page ste up (the Look & Feel)
It is tempting to want to have all sorts of fancy things on a site – different fonts and so on – but as most people want to get to the nitty gritty of what we have, then most of the tricks etc are superfluous.
Images, videos are great as they underline the message – not interfere with it.

White background and black text is also a good point – using colours for text or background does not take into account many readers may be colour blind – and that is not an unusual incidence.

that’s a great tip. I was not aware that changing my settings locally would have an influence on my wordpress theme. I will definitely give that a try. Thanks so much!

Some great tips provided there Sean. Writing online content definitely requires a different way of thinking in order to have the best chance of people reading what you have to say.

Bulleted text seems to work a treat as it’s quick and easy to read and in today’s hectic world.

Thanks for that advice. I was having terrible trouble the other day trying to change my font size on one of my blogs. I will take a look at this plugin.

This is exactly why I like reading your posts Sean. They are short enough to keep my attention with lots of spacing for ease of reading and they are not filled with jargon I do not understand.

Its funny because when I read a newspaper or magazine, I always start at the back (much to my husbands amusement) and its the same on a sales page, I usually go to the bottom first and then back to the top to skim the page.

If you use the TinyMCE advanced plugin and go to settings, you will be able to add a “font family” button to your WordPress editor

Hi Renee,

It isn’t easy to change the font on some Wordress themes. However, you can change the font size in your computer and it does affect the font in your WordPress theme.

Just go to Tools, then Options, then Content. You can change the size and style of the font to whatever you want. I used this when I needed to make the font larger on the theme I was using. I hope this helps.

Hi Sean,
your tips are very good – but changing the font in a wordpress theme is a bit tricky. So in order to change it for all blogs (and not manually every time) I need to change the theme – or am I missing a much easier way here??
